Josh Lichty is a dedicated educator, coach, and speaker with a passion for inspiring individuals to recognize and act on their purpose. With over two decades of experience in teaching, coaching, and leadership, Josh has built a career centered around fostering growth—both in the classroom and on the field.
Josh was a three-sport athlete and thespian from Ladysmith, WI who attended college at the University of Northern Iowa where he earned his degree in Elementary/Middle School Education. He has taught for 23 years and earned his National Board Certification, masters in Educational Leadership, and a certificate in Servant Leadership from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Viterbo University, Josh designs and implements curriculum for undergraduate and graduate education students and coaches, focusing on teaching strategies, coaching methodologies, classroom management, and technology integration. He has also been a keynote speaker at district in-services, high school career days, and regional nonprofit events, sharing his expertise on leadership, education, and personal development.
Josh’s coaching background includes leading high school and middle school teams for over 23 years in football, basketball, track, and powerlifting. As a head coach, he has implemented the 3D framework to give his athletes and families the holistic experience they deserve. He has presented at national and regional clinics, emphasizing the philosophy, tools, and skills that make great coaches and leaders.
When he’s not teaching or coaching, Josh enjoys spending time with his daughter, Zoey, and their Husky, Skye. He helps lead a high school huddle for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and looks forward to any outdoor activities in all four Wisconsin weather seasons with family and friends.
